Skyddsvärnet new identity

For nearly a decade Skyddsvärnet in Gothenburg – a humanitarian-aid non-governmental organization – has provided a helping hand to newly released prisoners and their families to a new start in life. They also help addicts and individuals having difficulties fitting into the society.

The new graphic identity incorporates mild and caring colors. A modern, friendly typography, but with confidence. The new symbol is a combination of helping hands, wings of freedom and the letter S.

The organization has seven departments with focus on different areas. A challenge in creating the graphic identity was to let the departments unify under a graphic concept but at the same time stand out from each other.
The solution was to let the departments and the umbrella concept of Skyddsvärnet share a graphic element that change color after affiliation.
An element reminiscent of a road. A path to follow toward a goal.
